*Important: Revised Admission Qualifications for Adjusters*
The qualifications for admission into the Board Cert program and receipt of the “CWC” professional designation have been revised.  In order to earn this designation, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Be a licensed Florida adjuster;
    • Have a minimum of 5 years lost time claims handling experience*.  A current supervisor or manager must attest to this experience by signing the application;
    • Earn a minimum passing grade of 70% on all exams;
    • Payment must be received for all course work before a certificate will be issued.

*Important: Admission Qualifications for Medical Case Managers*
Nurses and medical case managers may qualify to admission to the W/C Board Certification program, and be eligible for Board Certification status earn the “CWC” designation , by meeting certain requirements. Nurses and medical case managers who meet the following pre-admission requirements will be awarded a Board Certification Certificate of Completion upon completion of the program:

    • Be a licensed Florida RN, CCM or CDMS
    • Have a minimum of 5 years lost time/disability claims handling medical case management experience*.  A current supervisor or manager must attest to this experience by signing the application;
    • Earn a minimum passing grade of 70% on all exams.
    • Payment must be received for all course work before a certificate will be issued.

*For adjusters or medical case managers who have more than 3, but less than 5 years lost time/disability claims handling experience, admission may be granted by completion of the Comprehensive W/C Claims Management program, in a live classroom setting or through completion of the Online Comprehensive W/C Claims Management course. Interested applicants should contact the WCCP Administrative Office.

The Board Cert program consists of 10 live classes and 2 online courses.  Live classes are held one day per month over a five month period, two-classes on each day.  The first class begins sharply at 8:00 a.m., so you must leave early and plan to be there no later than 7:30 a.m. for sign-in!  Click here for copy of the Program/Schedule of Classes.

Online courses may be completed at any time during the program, but must be completed before the last live class (Course #10). Information about the online courses is provided at the first live class.

The first class lasts from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  Lunch is from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. The second class runs from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.  *Note: These are comprehensive classes, so do NOT plan on getting out early.

Following each class you must successfully pass an “online” exam within 14 days of the class with at least a 70% score. You will receive your score immediately upon completion of the exam and be able to print your Certificate of Completion.
