MEDIATION AND EXPERT WITNESS SERVICES

John Dubreuil, author of the Florida Worker’s Compensation Handbook, is now available for service as a private mediator or an an expert witness/consultant in W/C-related litigation.

Mr. Dubreuil, with nearly 40 years experience in the adjudication of workers’ compensation claims, is widely regarded as an expert in the field.  He is a graduate of Eckerd College with a BA degree in business management, and has earned the professional designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Claims, and Associate in Risk Management.  Additionally, he is a graduate of the USF Mediation Institute’s Circuit Civil Mediation Certification program, approved by the Florida Supreme Court.

Mr. Dubreuil is Board Certified in workers’ Compensation claims, a former senior vice president of claims for large insurance company, and a former member of the Statewide Nominating Commission for Judges of Compensation Claims.

As noted, Mr. Dubreuil is the author of Dubreuil’s Florida Workers’ Compensation handbook, sometimes called simply “The Red Book”. Florida’s District Court of Appeals, in support of its decisions, has twice quoted this highly regarded treatise as authority for its decisions. Further, the text was quoted and cited as an authority in the Professional Staff Analysis and Economic Impact Statement of the Florida State Senate dated March 22, 2007 in regard to Senate Bill 1204.
