The WCCP offers Florida’s first comprehensive workers compensation claims training curriculum. The “Comprehensive W/C Claims Management” training program is designed to serve as a well-rounded, intermediate-level claims training course for adjusters, nurses case managers and insurance professionals seeking to gain knowledge and develop skills in “workers’ compensation best claims practice”.

Program includes:

• Deciding Compensability: Application of Law & Legal Analysis
• Calculating and Delivering the Benefits of W/C
• Interviewing Injured Employees and Investigating W/C Claims
• The Anatomy of W/C Claims and Their Injuries
• Evaluating and Reserving W/C Exposures
• The Litigation of W/C & Claims Negotiation Strategies
• Pursuing and Collecting the Recoverables of W/C!
• Evaluation and Reserving: From Simple to Complex

After participating in this program of intense instruction and application workshops, students will come away with an increased awareness and effectiveness in the roles they play in helping injured workers and minimizing workers’ compensation losses for employers.  The Comprehensive W/C training program is one of the prerequisites for the WCCP’s Advanced W/C Board Certification program, and it represents a solid step toward completion of a comprehensive continuum of professional training and education in the complex field of workers’ compensation claims adjusting and case management.  The full program is best delivered as an offering with a minimum of 15 attendees.
