Scott Burrows, Monday, June 10th Keynote Speaker
As an all-star athlete, Scott played college football at FSU and was a top-ranked kickboxing champion whose last fight was broadcast by ESPN. During the height of his athletic career, Scott survived a horrific car crash, suffering a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the chest down. With singular focus, however, he boosted his recovery using the principles of Vision-Mindset-Grit and eventually found himself competing again—this time in a sport called full-contact wheelchair rugby, aka Murderball. After graduating from college, Scott qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table in the insurance industry, a 100% commission-driven sales award. At the pinnacle of that career, he was involved in a second automobile accident. New injuries forced him to RE-evaluate, RE-invent and once again RE-ignite his life. As a result, he decided to leave an industry he had so much passion for to pursue an opportunity to partner with his brother, who was expanding his golf course fertilizer business into Southeast Asia.

Today, as a keynote motivational speaker and bestselling author, Scott delivers presentations around the globe, sharing his compelling story of tragedy and triumph. His real-life experiences, captivating message of perseverance and eloquent storytelling are sure to leave you spellbound.

Carl Van, Tuesday Morning, June 11th Keynote Speaker
Carl Van , President & CEO of International Insurance Institute, Inc., graduated from California State University, Sacramento where he received his bachelor's degree in INSURANCE. He has been in the insurance claims industry since 1980 and has held the positions of Claims Adjuster, Claims Supervisor, Claims Manager, Division Claims Manager and Regional Manager over Claims, Loss Control and Premium Audit. Carl is one of the most highly sought-after keynote speakers and presenters at claims conferences in the U.S. and Canada. He has dedicated his life to studying the claims organization, developing classes and programs to improve the success of individuals working in the industry. But Carl’s extensive knowledge extends far beyond the insurance industry. His commitment to improving both employee and customer experience has made him a leading expert on topics such as company morale, time management, business communication, and customer service—important and timely no matter the industry. The best way to improve an employee’s performance is by inspiring him to improve himself. Though his topics are serious, Carl keeps audiences interested and entertained using audience participation, real-life examples, and the right amount of humor. Through interactive and engaging presentations, Carl shares his wit, wisdom, knowledge, and sixth sense for dealing with people, whether those people are co-workers, customers, or casual acquaintances. Look for ways to make something work rather than searching for why it won’t. Carl’s most requested topics revolve around customer service, employee motivation, and coaching for managers.     Stephanie Carroll, Tuesday Afternoon, June 11th Guest Speaker Stephanie Carroll is a recognized leader in facilitating powerful change and growth in organizations across the globe. She is an expert in culture change, a behavioral scientist and a trusted leadership and team coach for organizations like Kraft Foods, World Bank Group, Schneider Electric. Lululemon, US Navy, Western Union, L’Oreal Cosmetics and International Monetary Fund. Stephanie has a Masters degree in Organization Development and Change and advanced training and certifications in Dr. Brene Brown’s Dare To Lead Program, leadership and team coaching, conflict resolution and personality assessments.  She lives near the Gulf of Mexico in Sarasota, Florida with her husband Shawn and rescue cat, Heidi. When not working with clients you’ll find her outdoors cycling, running the beach and learning to stand-up on her new paddle-board.
